Safely Home Alone Class — Bettendorf Parks & Recreation

A one-hour home-safety class for children at the Bettendorf Community Center, the home of Bettendorf Parks & Recreation. The department says: "As a responsible kid, there may be times when you are trusted to be home alone. In this class, we'll cover the skills necessary for you to feel safe and confident about being home alone. You will learn valuable safety information as well as how to recognize, prevent, and prepare for emergencies. Safety experts from the Bettendorf Police Department will stop by and share important information with all of our students. Parents, please join your student for the last 10 minutes of class to hear about what they've learned!" Registration is required in advance — the listing offers no drop-in option — and the department prints a fee of $25.00 and an age range of "at least 8 yrs but less than 13 yrs".
